Grubby Folk Art Pumpkins

These have been my best sellers for a few months now. They require no pattern, I just wing it! They’re so much fun.

One More Herb Crow Ladye

This doll was a custom order, but the buyer backed out after I listed it. So, she’s still waiting to be adopted by her new mom. Will it be you?

Baby Formula Can Upcycle

Upcycled!

Made from baby formula cans. They were literally worth their weight in gold when we found them for our grandbaby… so I was determined to give them another life once they were empty⭐️ I grunged and painted them to look rusty. Then I added labels purchased from Veena’s Mercantile.. and finished them off with coffee stained cheesecloth, jute twine, and a dusting of cinnamon. A fun project!

I Just Love Her!

She’s almost finished. I created her with a pattern by Kim Kohler of Veena’s Mercantile. All she needs is a rusty bucket attached to her hand, with a grubby flameless votive inside.

Last night I started working on her sister, and she is every bit as whimsical and lovely! She was painted this morning, and is now drying in the sun. Her dress has been sewn from a gorgeous (and very unique) pumpkin spice ticking!

I don’t know where or how I’ll sell these folk art dolls. Etsys fees are ridiculous and craft fairs are far off in the distance. Maybe I’ll use marketplace, or my Facebook business page?

Good Morning!

is it too soon for pumpkin dolls? I just love them.

They’re bright and cheerful and whimsical! I’ll show a picture later today, when this one is finished.

I’m back!

it’s been a good long while since I’ve written here. Far too long! I’ve been busy creating some folk art dolls with patterns by Kim Kohler. This sunflower girl is the latest🌻

I’ve also been making and selling primitive sunflower pokes, with all proceeds benefitting families in Ukraine🇺🇦

One Person’s Trash is Another Person’s Primitives

It’s amazing what you can do with something as simple as a tin can from the recycling bin. This right here, is one of my favorite upcycles. It was an old B&M baked beans can that I turned into a rustic lantern.

I coated the can with black, brown, and orange acrylic paints, to make it look rusty. Then I added homespun fabric, a crow label, rusty bell, and a rusty wire hanger. The blackened timer LED candle really finishes it off! I love the way this looks, tacked to the windowpane over my kitchen sink.
